PORTFOLIO
Weddings, nikah and pre-wedding shoots in Dubai
Brides and grooms, nikah signings, mehendi hands, intimate ceremonies and pre-wedding couples under the Burj Khalifa: every wedding photoshoot in Dubai you see here is a real client's. Tap any photo to see it larger.

WHY COUPLES BOOK ME
A female wedding photographer for the moments that need one
Families often book me so there's a woman in the bride's getting-ready room, at the ladies' mehendi or sangeet, and at the ladies-only parts of a nikah. I cover those quietly, then the ceremony, the family portraits and the reception.
A woman in the bride's room
The getting-ready, the ladies' sangeet and mehendi, the women's side of a nikah: I'm welcome where male photographers are quietly asked to skip. For traditional families, that's usually the deciding factor.
One accountable photographer
You hire me, you get me. Not a junior on the day, not a swap-out the night before. The person who answers your first WhatsApp is the person who photographs your wedding.
Cultural fluency
Mehendi, haldi, sangeet, baraat, pheras, vidaai, nikah, rukhsati, walima: I know which moment matters and where to stand. You won't have to explain the rituals on the day.
Local in Dubai, 15+ years
The venues, the planners, the light and the permit quirks are already familiar. I shoot anywhere in Dubai and happily travel across the UAE, and my backup gear is in the car.
BEFORE THE BIG DAY
Pre-wedding, engagement and couple shoots in Dubai
The easiest way to get used to my camera before the wedding, and photos you'll use for years. Many couples fly in for a pre-wedding shoot in Dubai, so we plan it around your trip.

Pre-wedding shoots
Engagement shoots & ring ceremonies
Couple shoots & anniversaries
A pre-wedding photoshoot, dressed up and cinematic, under the Burj Khalifa, in Old Dubai's lanes or on the dunes at sunset: for save-the-dates, the slideshow and the wall at home.
An engagement photoshoot in Dubai after the yes, or the roka or ring ceremony itself, with both families in the frame.
No wedding coming up? A relaxed couple photoshoot in Dubai for an anniversary, or just because you have no good photos of the two of you.

WEDDINGS I PHOTOGRAPH
What kinds of weddings I photograph in Dubai
From a court marriage with a handful of guests to a three-day celebration. Tell me which one fits and I'll send a coverage plan and a quote.

Hindu & Sikh weddings
Mehendi, haldi, sangeet, baraat, pheras, vidaai and the reception, function by function.

Nikah & walima
The nikah signing, the ladies' side, the rukhsati and the walima reception, with a woman beside the bride.

Multicultural weddings
Two families, two traditions, one wedding: I make sure neither side's rituals get short-changed.

Civil & court weddings
A court marriage or civil wedding in Dubai: the signing, the family, then portraits of the two of you.

Intimate weddings & vow renewals
Thirty guests or fewer, a small beach ceremony or a villa garden, with gentle, unobtrusive coverage.

Weddings at home

Mehendi & sangeet

Bridal getting-ready
A small ceremony at home with the family close: the quiet moments between the rituals, and no big production.
Using another photographer for the main day? I can cover the ladies-only functions: the henna, the songs and the dancing.
The dupatta or the veil, the jewellery, the mother's last touches: a bridal photographer in Dubai who's welcome in the room.
Tell me which one fits and I'll send a quote.

Are you a female wedding photographer in Dubai?
Yes. I'm Shruti Jain, a female freelance wedding photographer based in Dubai with 15+ years behind the camera. Families often book me so there's a woman in the bride's getting-ready room and at ladies-only functions. The person who answers your first WhatsApp is the person who photographs your wedding.
Do you photograph South Asian and multicultural weddings in Dubai?
Yes, multi-day cultural weddings are most of my wedding work: Hindu, Sikh and Punjabi weddings, Muslim nikah and walima, and multicultural weddings where two families bring two traditions. I plan each day separately so every function gets focused coverage. For Indian weddings, see my Indian photographer in Dubai page.
Are you a nikah photographer in Dubai? Can you cover the ladies' side?
Yes: the nikah signing, the ladies' side, the rukhsati and the walima reception. As a woman I can stay with the bride and the women. Tell me how your families divide the day and I'll plan the coverage around it.
Will you have access to ladies-only mehendi, sangeet or bridal getting-ready?
Yes, it's one of the main reasons traditional families book me. As a female photographer I'm welcome in the bride's room, at the ladies' mehendi and sangeet, and at women-only parts of the wedding. Nothing is posted without your written consent.
Can you photograph our destination wedding in Dubai?
Yes: Indian, NRI and other destination weddings alike. I live and work in Dubai, so venues like Madinat Jumeirah, Atlantis The Palm and the JBR beach hotels, the light and the permit quirks are already familiar, and nobody has to fly a photographer in. We plan the functions, timings and family shot list on WhatsApp before you arrive.
Do you photograph intimate weddings, civil weddings and court marriage ceremonies?
Yes. Court and registry weddings, small beach ceremonies, villa gardens and vow renewals, usually thirty guests or fewer, with gentle, unobtrusive coverage: the signing, the family, then portraits of the two of you.
Are you also a wedding photographer in Abu Dhabi and across the UAE?
Yes. I'm based in Dubai and happily travel across the UAE for weddings, Abu Dhabi too. Send me the venue and date and I'll come back with availability and a quote.
How much does a wedding photographer cost in Dubai?
It depends on the number of days, the hours of coverage, the venues and how many functions you want covered. WhatsApp me your date, venue, functions and rough guest count, and I'll send a quote built for your wedding, not a fixed menu.
How many photos will we get from our wedding?
There's no fixed number: you get all the keepers, every frame worth keeping, edited. A three-day wedding naturally gives you far more than an intimate ceremony.
How long until we get our wedding photos?
The full edited wedding gallery takes around 4–6 weeks: there are thousands of frames to cull and edit. It arrives as a private download link. Pre-wedding and couple shoots take around 1–2 weeks, depending on edit volume.
Do you bring a second photographer?
For most weddings I shoot solo, so one photographer knows your story from start to finish. For very large weddings, or functions running in parallel, a second photographer makes sense, and we decide that together when we plan.
Do you also offer wedding videography?
I focus on photography. If you'd like a wedding videographer in Dubai as well, I can recommend UAE-based videographers I trust and coordinate with them on the day.
How early should we do a pre-wedding shoot in Dubai?
Two to six months before the wedding works well, early enough for save-the-dates and the wedding slideshow. Couples flying in often shoot during the trip. October to April is the most comfortable season outdoors.
What are the best pre-wedding shoot locations in Dubai?
Downtown and the Burj Khalifa for city glamour, Old Dubai and Al Seef for heritage, the desert at sunset, the beach with the Burj Al Arab, a yacht you've booked, or Miracle Garden in season. One spot, or two neighbouring ones, per session works best.
How do we choose the best pre-wedding photographer in Dubai?
Look at full galleries, not just highlights, and pick the style you love: candid and natural, or posed and cinematic. Check that the person you message is the one who shoots. My pre-wedding photoshoots are relaxed, fun and natural, with candid moments and gentle direction.
How much does a pre-wedding shoot in Dubai cost? Can you quote in rupees?
It depends on how long you'd like, how many spots and outfit changes, and how much editing. Send me your plan on WhatsApp for a clear quote. Flying in from India? I'm happy to give you the rupee equivalent at the day's rate.
Do you photograph engagement shoots and couple photoshoots too?
Yes: an engagement photoshoot in Dubai, the roka or ring ceremony, or a couple photoshoot for an anniversary. For the proposal itself, see my proposal photographer page; for a honeymoon, my Dubai photoshoot page.
Will our wedding photos stay private?
Yes. Your gallery goes to a private link only you have, and nothing is posted without your written consent. For ladies-only functions and family-only nikahs, that's the default.
How far in advance should we book a wedding photographer in Dubai?
For weddings in the cooler October to April season, 4–6 months ahead is comfortable, and peak weekends go first. Pre-wedding and couple shoots need a few weeks. WhatsApp me your date and I'll confirm availability the same day.

A BIT MORE ABOUT WORKING WITH ME
Wedding photography in Dubai: how I actually work
A wedding is the one shoot day that can't be redone. The cake can be re-baked and the flowers re-ordered, but the photographs are the only thing that keeps the day exactly as it was. That's the responsibility I take on when couples hire me, and it's why I'm honest about what I can and can't promise.
Shruti Photography is Shruti Jain, a female freelance wedding photographer based in Dubai with 15+ years behind the camera. If you've been comparing wedding photographers in Dubai, you'll have noticed that most Dubai wedding photography comes from big teams and studios. I'm one person, a Dubai wedding photographer who knows when to be invisible at a nikah, which moment matters in a haldi, and why grandma belongs in the centre of the family portrait. I photograph the wedding and the pre-wedding shoot, not video, and I'm happy to recommend videographers I trust. If you'd like a female photographer for your wedding, the next step is a WhatsApp with your date and venue. Tell me about your wedding on WhatsApp
