WHY VISITORS BOOK ME

What makes a holiday shoot easy

You have a few days and a long list. Here's how I keep the photoshoot the easiest part of it.

I plan around your itinerary

Tell me your hotel area, your dates and what's already booked. I'll suggest a slot and a spot that fit, so the shoot never swallows a whole day of your trip.

A woman behind the camera

Solo travellers, mums and families who'd rather have a female photographer feel at ease with me. Modesty wishes are respected from the very first message.

I know where the light lands

After 15+ years of shooting here, I know which side of the Burj Khalifa glows at sunset, when the Old Dubai lanes are quiet, and how early you need to be on the beach to have it to yourselves.

Direction, not awkward posing

I tell you where to stand, where to look and what to do with your hands. You enjoy the moment, and the photos still come out right.

Your gallery arrives as a download link in around 1–2 weeks, depending on edit volume.

WHERE IN DUBAI

The Dubai spots visitors ask for

Pick one, or two that sit close together. I shoot anywhere in Dubai and happily travel across the UAE, and I match the spot to the light, the season and how far it is from your hotel. An outdoor photoshoot is at its best from October to April.

Couple in a white gown, Burj Khalifa behind

Burj Khalifa & Downtown

The skyline everyone wants, from the promenades by the Dubai Mall and the Fountain. Quiet at sunrise, glowing at golden hour.

Couple under an Old Dubai arch by a wooden door

Old Dubai & Al Seef

Wooden doors, sand-coloured walls and lantern-lit lanes. Softest in the morning.

Couple riding a camel across the dunes

Desert dunes

Golden sand and a huge sky, a drive out of the city or part of your desert safari. Best close to sunset, October to March.

Proposal on the beach at sunset

The beach & Burj Al Arab

Sand, sea and the famous sail on the horizon. Beautiful at sunset.

Couple with a bouquet in front of Atlantis, The Palm

The Palm & Atlantis

Couple kissing in front of Ain Dubai lit up at dusk, Dubai Marina and Bluewaters

Dubai Marina

Couple on a yacht deck, Burj Al Arab behind

On a yacht

Expecting couple under the flower-heart arches at Miracle Garden

Miracle Garden, in season

Palm trees and the pink arch of Atlantis. Families and couples love it.

Golden hour on the Marina, or Ain Dubai at Bluewaters lit up behind you at blue hour.

You book the yacht; I come on board. The Burj Al Arab and the Marina skyline drift past.

Flower arches and colour everywhere, open in the cooler months only.

Not sure where? Send me your hotel area and your dates, and I'll suggest two spots.

HOW BIG A SHOOT?

One spot, two spots, or the desert?

All three work well for visitors. It comes down to how much of your trip you want to give it.

One spot

The easy classic: one backdrop, done well.

Best for: Short trips, kids, first-timers

Time: Sunrise or golden hour

Length: About an hour

Good to know: Easiest close to your hotel

Two spots, close together

Two looks in one session, like Downtown and the Fountain, or Old Dubai and Al Seef.

Best for: Couples, an outfit change

Time: Golden hour into blue hour

Length: About 90 minutes to 2 hours

Good to know: Pick neighbours, not opposite ends of Dubai

Desert or yacht

A bigger outing with a big payoff.

Best for: Once-in-a-trip photos

Time: Late afternoon into sunset

Length: Half a day with the drive

Good to know: You book the safari or the yacht; I photograph it

FROM YOUR SOFA TO THE SHOOT

Planning a Dubai photoshoot before you fly

Many visitors message me before they travel, from India, the UK, Europe and around the Gulf. It all happens on WhatsApp, in whatever time zone you're in.

1

Send me your dates

Arrival and departure, your hotel area and who's in the photo. That's all I need to start.

2

We pick the spot and the time

I suggest one or two places and the best light for them, fitted around what you've already booked.

3

You plan what to wear

I send outfit ideas that suit the backdrop, plus a short list of what to bring for the kids.

4

Shoot day

We meet at the spot. I direct everything, keep it relaxed and watch the clock so you still make your dinner reservation.

5

Photos in your inbox

Your full gallery arrives as a download link in around 1–2 weeks. Flying home soon? I'll do my best to prioritise your edit.

Why message early: in the cooler months, sunset slots go first, especially at weekends. A week's notice is comfortable, and even a day's notice sometimes works.

VISITORS ASK

Frequently asked questions

What people visiting Dubai ask me most. Tap “Read more” to open an answer, or ask me directly on WhatsApp.

We're in Dubai for 3 days. How do we book a photographer for a quick holiday photoshoot?

Send me your dates, your hotel area and who's in the photo on WhatsApp. I'll suggest one spot and a time that fits around what you've already booked, usually sunrise or the hour before sunset, and send your quote within a few hours. On a short trip, message me as soon as you know your dates.

Can we hire a personal photographer in Dubai while we're visiting?

Yes. I'm Shruti Jain, and for the shoot I'm your personal photographer, just your group. Many of my clients are tourists: families on holiday, first-time visitors, couples and people celebrating a milestone trip. Send me your dates and hotel area on WhatsApp, and I'll plan the spot and the light around your trip.

There are so many photographers in Dubai. How do we choose one for a tourist photoshoot?

Look at full galleries from shoots like yours, not just a few highlights. Read reviews from other visitors, ask who will actually take and edit your photos, and check that they plan the spot and the light around your trip. Message me and I'll send you a recent gallery from a shoot like yours.

What are the best places for a photoshoot in Dubai?

The Burj Khalifa and Downtown, Old Dubai and Al Seef, the desert dunes, the beach with the Burj Al Arab behind you, the Palm and Atlantis, Bluewaters and Ain Dubai, or a yacht. I'll pick one or two that suit your photos, the season and your hotel.

What time of day is best for photos in Dubai?

The hour before sunset gives the warmest, most flattering light, and it's my first choice from October to April. Sunrise is the quiet option, with empty backdrops, and the comfortable one in summer.

When is the best time of year for a Dubai photoshoot?

October to April is the most comfortable for outdoor shoots. From May to September I plan sunrise sessions or shaded and indoor spots, because the midday heat isn't kind to anyone in photos.

Can you photograph us in front of the Burj Khalifa?

Yes. For a Burj Khalifa photoshoot, couple or family, the public promenades around the Dubai Fountain lake and the streets nearby give a clear view of the tower. Sunrise is the quietest time there, and golden hour into blue hour gives the classic glowing skyline.

Can we shoot in more than one location?

Yes, when the spots sit close together, like Downtown and the Fountain, or Old Dubai and Al Seef. Spots at opposite ends of Dubai waste your best light in traffic, so I suggest pairs that work.

How long is a photo session in Dubai?

About an hour for one spot, 90 minutes to 2 hours for two spots close together, and half a day for the desert, with the drive.

How far ahead should we book a photographer in Dubai?

A week's notice is comfortable. From October to April, sunset slots go first, especially at weekends, so message me early. Even a day's notice sometimes works.

Should I book a vacation photographer through a booking platform or directly?

Both work. A platform matches you with a photographer from its list, on its own booking terms. When you book me directly, you plan the shoot on WhatsApp with the person who photographs you and edits your gallery, and your quote is built around your trip: the hours, the spots, the people and the editing.

How soon will we get our photos?

Your full gallery arrives as a download link in around 1–2 weeks, depending on edit volume. On a short trip, tell me your flight date and I'll do my best to prioritise your edit.

Is it worth hiring a professional photographer on holiday in Dubai?

If you want photos with everyone in them, yes. On most trips someone is always holding the phone. For an hour I look after the light, the angle and the timing, and you get to simply be on holiday, together in the frame.

How much does a photoshoot in Dubai cost?

It depends on how long you'd like, how many locations, how many people and how much editing. Message me your plan on WhatsApp and I'll send you a clear quote, usually within a few hours.

I'm travelling solo. Can I book a photoshoot on my own?

Of course. Solo shoots are some of my favourites, and many women travelling alone prefer a female photographer. I guide every pose, so you come home with photos of you in Dubai, not just photos of Dubai.

Can you photograph our whole family on holiday, young kids and grandparents too?

Yes. Families on holiday are some of my favourite shoots. With young kids I keep it short and playful, around nap times and pool days. Grandparents get an easy pace and a seat when they need one, and I pick a spot that's easy to reach from your hotel.

Do you meet us at our hotel?

We meet at the shoot location. I send you a map pin and the easiest way to get there, and when it helps, I suggest spots close to where you're staying.

Can you take photos anywhere in Dubai?

Almost anywhere public. Beaches, streets, promenades and the lanes of Old Dubai are open for an outdoor photoshoot, and that's where most of my visitor shoots happen. Malls, hotels and private communities usually need the venue's permission, so I check that before the day and plan around it. And I never photograph strangers without asking, so I frame your photos around you.

We're coming to Dubai for our honeymoon. Can you take our couple photos?

Yes, with pleasure. I keep honeymoon and couple photos romantic without feeling staged: near the Burj Khalifa, in Old Dubai, on the beach or on a yacht you've booked. I gently direct you, so you can simply enjoy each other.

Still wondering about something?

A BIT MORE ABOUT WORKING WITH ME

Years from now, these are the photos that bring the whole trip back.

Holidays go fast. The flights, the queues and the jet lag fade within weeks. What lasts is the evening everyone was together, dressed up and laughing at the same joke, and a good photo holds on to that long after the suitcases are unpacked.

Dubai has been my home and my favourite backdrop for a long time, and I still love showing it off. Tell me what you want to remember from this trip, and I'll find you the spot that says it.
